Aqua Cooler is proud to announce the popular M Series refrigerated drinking fountain range is now certified to IP33 level and is safe for outdoor uncovered installation.
According to Australian Standard AS 60529:2013, awarding an IP rating of IP33 signifies that the M Series drinking fountain’s physical casing has protection from solid objects greater than 2.5mm, such as a screw driver, and also from water falling diagonally at 60 degrees, such as a heavy downpour of rain. These are not uncommon environmental operating conditions regularly encountered by drinking fountains installed on building, mining and sites exposed to outdoor extremes.
The class leading M Series drinking fountain was tested against the Australian Standard by a NATA accredited laboratory in Sydney, Australia.
Aqua Coolers Business Manager, Ben Carlton said “The M Series drinking fountain rating of IP33 means the design and construction are suitable for installation outside in uncovered locations, proving that our product will exceed expectations in harsh Australian elements. We expect this to be a game changer particularly in the construction site space where traditionally units had to be installed undercover.”
“Along with the IP33 accreditation, the M Series drinking fountain range boasts a comprehensive 12 month warranty plus an additional 24 months on the refrigeration circuit, regardless if the installation site is outside and uncovered, giving our customer total peace of mind they have the right equipment for the job.”
Other features of Aqua Cooler’s M Series which provide a competitive advantage include an impressive 5 Litre internal water storage tank, three levels of refrigeration capacity to suit customers usage requirements, optional carbon block filtration and a choice of material finishes.
As all of Aqua Cooler’s products, the M Series drinking fountains are backed by world class customer service and aftermarket support by our dedicated Brisbane based team. Aqua Cooler’s origins go back to 1946 and have always been owned and operated within Australia, helping to strengthen our economy and provide jobs for Australians.

About Aqua Cooler
Aqua Cooler was formed in 1994 as an amalgamation of three like-minded companies with histories dating back to the 1946. The first company, Blackmore and Singleman, was founded in 1946 by Jim Blackmore and focused on producing air conditioning and water chilling solutions for the train industry. The second, Sam Hort, was a small water cooler company purchased by Barry Blackmore in 1979. Sam Hort operated under this name for several years until Blackmore and Singleman relocated under the same roof and Aqua Cooler was formed. Over the lifetime of the company, Aqua Cooler has reinvented itself repeatedly. The core values and skill set remain mostly unchanged, but the end product and use-case continue to change and evolve alongside the world.
